The Oak Room Restaurant is a delight
of oak panelling and stained glass windows showing the Coat of Arms of the previous owners.
The Inglenook fireplace adds to the real character of this restaurant. We have a team of checks that
take pride in creating dishes using the best of local produce. Often the beef, lamb and game are reared
at the owner's Northumbrian farm at nearby Longwitton - true traceability. Our head chef oversees the
maturing of the produce to ensure he has the best of ingredients to give you the best flavours.
Succulent steaks, Longwitton Beef and ale pie, a trio of lamb, venison - our menu changes often.
We also use local dairy produce, bake our own bread from local oils and flour, serve Kearsley Free
Range eggs, use freshly caught fish and local in-season vegetables - we do not forget Vegetarians!
Even the Spring Water is from nearby Girsonfield.
Meals are served throughout the day and menu's for all occasions can be created by arrangement including vegetarian choices and low fat dishes. Please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements.
